Harry Connick, Jr., Mali Music to Perform on “American Idol”

Those hoping to see a Top 40 mainstay on the “American Idol” stage will not get their wish next week.

FOX’s reality competition will once again welcome performances from an “Idol”-related act and a potential breakthrough on next week’s results show.

According to a press release from the network, next Thursday’s “Idol” results show will play host to a medley from judge Harry Connick, Jr. and a performance by Mali Music.

The hourlong broadcast will also reveal which, if any, of the remaining eleven will be forced to leave the competition. On the prior evening, those eleven contestants will each perform songs from their favorite movies.
