“Pretty Little Liars” Ratings Fall, Miss Chance to Beat “Glee”

Bad enough in a vacuum, the adults 18-49 rating for Tuesday’s “Glee” could have been subject to a particularly stunning distinction.

The adults 18-49 rating, a 1.0, had the potential to tie or even trail that of timeslot competitor “Pretty Little Liars,” which airs on the ABC Family cable network and never had the distinction of being a mainstream pop culture phenomenon.

Luckily for “Glee,” “Pretty Little Liars” also tumbled in the ratings this week.

Tuesday’s “PLL” slipped to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating with 2.06 million viewers. Though its total viewership mark was only slightly better (2.17 million), last week’s episode posted a notably stronger 1.0 adults 18-49 rating.

In the nightly fast nationals, FOX’s “Glee” posted a non-holiday low 1.0 adults 18-49 rating with a series low viewership average of 2.6 million.
