“American Horror Story: Coven” Ratings Surge for Finale

Wednesday’s “American Horror Story: Coven” might have received poor reviews, but it also attracted an impressive audience.

The episode delivered a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating with 4.24 million viewers.

Up from the 1.8 rating and 3.35 million viewer mark posted by the season’s penultimate episode, the finale garnered the show’s largest audience since the season’s second episode aired on October 16.

Only that episode, which drew 4.51 million, and the season premiere, which attracted a whopping 5.54 million pairs of eyeballs, aired before larger audiences.

Despite the improvement, “AHS: Coven” still lost the nightly cable ratings race to A&E’s “Duck Dynasty.” The reality series drew a 3.0 rating with 7.49 million viewers.
