Trent Reznor Rips Grammys, Macklemore Texts Kendrick Lamar

During Sunday’s 56th Annual Grammy Awards, discussion about Pharrell’s hat dominated social media.

From an Arby’s Tweet that went viral to the launch of a “Pharrell’s Hat” Twitter account, the odd fashion choice was a major focus for Grammys viewers.

In the aftermath of Sunday’s broadcast, it is the notion of the snub that is generating significant social media attention.

After learning that the CBS broadcast prematurely cut away (first to show the credits, then altogether) from his all-star collaboration with Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl and Lindsey Buckingham, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor voiced his displeasure on Twitter.

“Music’s biggest night… to be disrespected. A heartfelt FUCK YOU guys,” wrote the veteran.

On Instagram, the beneficiary of a snub expressed his condolences to the victim.

Macklemore, whose “The Heist” (with Ryan Lewis) won Best Rap Album, texted his surprise–and frustration–to fellow nominee Kendrick Lamar.

“You got robbed,” wrote Macklemore in a text that he shared on Instagram. “I wanted you to win. You should have. It’s weird and it sucks that I robbed you.”
