Simon Cowell Confirms Demi Lovato’s “X Factor” Departure

Speaking to the media following Wednesday’s “The X Factor” performance show, Simon Cowell confirmed reports that Demi Lovato would not be departing the franchise this season.

While he did not elaborate, Cowell gave no reason to believe the circumstances behind her impending deparature are heated. One source, in fact, says that left the door open for an eventual Lovato return.

FOX, interestingly, has yet to even officially confirm Cowell’s Monday comment that the show was definitely returning for a fourth season.

No decision has been made regarding the futures of fellow judges Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio, but in a conference with her representative finalist Jeff Gutt, Rowland noted that she would return if invited.
