“Fast & Furious” Studio Comments on Paul Walker’s Shocking Death

Joining countless fans and celebrities in its heartbreak, Universal Pictures, the studio behind the “The Fast & The Furious” franchise, issued a statement on Paul Walker’s unexpected death.

“All of us at Universal are heartbroken,” said Universal’s official statement. “Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul’s family.”

Though the actor, who passed Saturday at 40, possessed an extensive body of work, it was for his involvement in the “Fast” franchise that Walker became best known.

First reported by TMZ, Walker died when the Porsche in which he was riding crashed and exploded. His friend, the driver, also passed in the accident.
