Despite Lukewarm Ratings, Lady Gaga’s “Muppets” Special Outdraws “Glee”

Like everything not involving a football or a “Big Bang Theory,” ABC’s 90 minute “Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Spectacular” delivered lukewarm ratings on Thanksgiving.

The special, which aired from 9:30-11:00PM, drew just a 0.9 rating with 3.62 million viewers.

Notable, however, is the fact that the special outdrew FOX’s puppet-themed “Glee” both from an overall average standpoint and in the directly competitive 9:30PM half-hour.

While the Gaga special drew a 1.0 rating with 3.70 million viewers from 9:30PM-10PM, “Glee” could only muster a 0.8 with 2.65 million viewers.

The complete “Glee” telecast averaged a 0.9 rating with 2.80 million.
