Mostly introduced last season, several of the new “Glee” characters bear striking resemblances to original members of the show’s titular New Directions.
Come March, they will be singing some of their signature musical numbers.
FOX announced Wednesday that as a special promotion for the hundredth episode of “Glee,” which airs March 18, 2014, fans will get to select their favorites from a list of thirty songs. The top ten selections will be re-mixed and re-performed by the current members of the show’s central glee club.
The episode itself will follow the McKinley High seniors as they prepare for graduation. Insofar as that list of seniors includes original characters like Artie and Tina, who were already involved in many of the songs on the list, the extent to which it will participate in the remixes (as opposed to the group of younger students like Kitty, Marley, Jake and Ryder) is unclear.
Voting, which takes place here, is available until December 3.
