“American Horror Story” Ratings Finally Increase

The streak is over. After three consecutive dips in the ratings, FX’s “American Horror Story: Coven” finally made a week-over-week gain.

“Burn, Witch. Burn,” Wednesday’s episode, improved to a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating with 3.80 million viewers. Last week’s episode garnered a 2.0 and 3.72 million, while the prior week’s broadcast posted a 2.1 with 3.78 million viewers.

Enough to convincingly win the cable ratings race over “South Park” (1.5, 2.39 million) and rank fourth among all programs behind the “CMA Awards,” “Survivor” and “Criminal Minds,” the improved showing came on the same day FX announced “AHS” was renewed for a fourth season.
