“The Walking Dead” Ratings Fall Against Manning vs. Luck NFL Game

Up against the monster Sunday Night Football game between Peyton Manning’s Broncos and Andrew Luck’s Colts, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” had no prayer of avoiding the typical post-premiere ratings drop.

But the good news is that a show that falls from the sky can still land in the clouds. And despite its weekly drop, “TWD” posted another monster rating that will obliterate every other scripted program, broadcast or cable, this week.

Sunday’s episode, the second of the fourth season, drew a 7.1 adults 18-49 rating with 13.9 million viewers.

The second-most-watched episode of all time, Sunday’s segment fell by 13% in the demo and 14% among total viewers from last week’s season premiere.
