One of television’s longest-running reality series is going to run at least a little bit longer.

CBS confirmed Thursday that “Big Brother,” which recently celebrated its 500th episode, will return for its sixteenth season next summer.

A reliable performer for The Eye, the show’s ongoing season enjoyed ratings gains over the previous cycle.

“This summer, BIG BROTHER is averaging 7.29 million viewers, 2.6 in adults 18-49 and 3.1 in adults 25-54,” says CBS. “Compared to last year, BIG BROTHER is up +11% in viewers, +8% in adults 18-49 and +7% in adults 25-54.”

The current season finale will air at 9:30PM next Wednesday.
