It’s Not Complicated; AT&T Commercial Star Set for “Saturday Night Live”

Beck Bennett, who stars in AT&T’s popular, Jorma Taccone-directed “It’s Not Complicated” commercial campaign, is reportedly one of the five new performers joining “Saturday Night Live.”

Deadline reported Friday that Bennett, along with his fellow Good Neighbor comedy troupe member Kyle Mooney, Serious Lunch member John Milhiser, writer Michael Patrick O’Brien and viral video impressionist Noel Wells, is closing in on a deal to debut as a featured player on “Saturday Night Live” next season.

The late-night sketch mainstay has been hard at work rebuilding its cast following the confirmed departures of veterans Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Jason Sudeikis. Seth Myers, who functions as SNL’s head writer and sole “Weekend Update” host, will depart at midseason to debut as Jimmy Fallon’s replacement on “Late Night.”

All of the potential new cast members are Upright Citizens Bridge alumni.
