Reports Once Again Emerge That Sting is Possibly Coming to WWE

As one of the only major wrestling names not to have performed for the promotion, Steve “Sting” Borden, even given his age, is often the subject of rumors related to a WWE debut.

To date, those rumors have never amounted to anything, but there is confidence that the history of disappointment might finally be coming to an end.

Asked why WWE featured Sting in its promotional video packages Monday, F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer explained that talks are beginning to materialize between the two parties.

“[Saying they are negotiating] might even be too strong, but Sting has sent feelers their way,” explains Meltzer. “There is a lot of confidence that Sting will be with [WWE].”

The most recent rumors concerning a Sting debut came ahead of WWE’s “2-21-11” campaign, which instead ended up building to the return of The Undertaker and a subsequent feud with Triple H.
