Queens of the Stone Age’s “Like Clockwork” Leads Album Sales Race

With no dominant holdovers and no blockbuster new releases in play, Queens of the Stone Age is set to score its first debut atop the Billboard 200.

New release “…Like Clockwork,” the band’s first studio since 2007’s “Era Vulgaris,” is pacing for a debut-week tally of 80,000 units based on Billboard’s opening day data. As long as it stays on that rough trajectory, it should have no problem snatching number one away from Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories,” which reigns at the pinnacle despite a massive sales drop in week two.

Of the other new releases this week, Sleeping with Sirens’ “Feel” is making the biggest impact. Sources say it should move 60,000 copies.
