Adrian Peterson Comments on Gay Marriage: “I’m Not With That”

One of the NFL’s top stars weighed in on the divisive gay marriage issue this week, telling a radio interview the practice is “not something I believe in.”

Adrian Peterson, the 2012 NFL MVP, made the comments when discussing the Vikings’ release of punter Chris Kluwe, known for his outspoken opinion on matters like gay rights.

“It hurts me to see him leave,” said Peterson of his friend and former teammate in an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio.

But regarding Kluwe’s stance on gay marriage, “To each his own, [but] I’m not with it…I have relatives who are gay. I’m not biased towards them. I still treat them the same. I love them. But again, I’m not with that. That’s not something I believe in.”
