“The Office” Ratings Jump, “Glee” Improves for Season Finale

Facing their usual competition from “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Person of Interest,” NBC’s 9PM series “The Office” and FOX’s timeslot occupant “Glee” both gained in the ratings this week.

Leading out of a re-run, “The Office” rose notably to a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating and 4.41 million viewers for its hourlong penultimate episode.  The series is not going to deliver a monster number for its series finale next week, but based on the uptick this week, it should at least be looking at a season high for its swan song.

“Glee” wrapped its fourth season with a 2.1 adults 18-49 and 6.08 million viewers, marking a slight improvement from last week’s performance.  Lead-in “American Idol” was also up; it delivered a 2.8 with 11.20 million viewers.
