CBS Officially Picks Up “Mom,” Robin Williams Comedy, Others Ahead of Upfronts

Confirming speculation that it will add at least another hour of comedy to its schedule, CBS has reportedly picked up four comedies for next season.

In addition to Chuck Lorre’s Anna Faris-vehicle “Mom,” for which the order was already certain, CBS also picked up Greg Garcia’s “The Millers” (starring Will Arnett, Margo Martindale, Beau Bridges, JB Smoove, Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Michael Rapaport), David E. Kelley’s “Crazy Ones” (starring Robin Williams, James Wolk and Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Rob Greenberg’s “We Are Men” (starring Jerry O’Connell, Kal Penn, Tony Shalhoub and Chris Smith).

On the drama side, CBS is booking Jerry Bruckheimer’s “Hostages,” toplined by Dylan McDermott and Josh Holloway-starrer “Intelligence.”
