Mick Foley Elbows Jericho, Punk Refs, Rob Van Dam Backstage; WWE Hall of Fame News

Due to WWE’s controversial decision not to broadcast his Hall of Fame speech–one it has since reversed–the spotlight was certainly on Mick Foley Saturday night.

And he made waves in accepting his induction to WWE’s Hall of Fame.

Noting that he has never beaten Chris Jericho, Foley expressed a particular desire to elbow the Future Hall of Famer. Jericho made his way onto the stage in support of the request.

Foley delivered the elbow, and CM Punk was there–as referee–to count the pinfall and then throw up the dreaded “X.”

— Also at the WWE Hall of Fame: Rob Van Dam appeared backstage in support of Booker T’s induction.

“I’m here to support my boy Booker T,” said Van Dam, who tells WWE.com they have been acquainted for ten years.

Not wanting to leave anyone out, he added, “[It’s great] seeing a lot of guys I haven’t seen since I left.”
