Living Colour to Play “Cult of Personality” at WWE WrestleMania 29

WWE made waves when it licensed Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality” for CM Punk’s entrance, and the relationship between the two parties will advance this weekend when the band plays at WrestleMania.

Living Colour announced on its official Twitter that it will play CM Punk’s entrance on the show.

“We’re excited to announce that we will be performing at #WRESTLEMANIA for CM PUNK and the WWE,” wrote the band.

Punk announced the same on his own account.

After previously walking out to AFI’s “Miseria Cantare,” Punk turned to “Cult of Personality” after surprisingly turning heel for a final run in Ring of Honor in 2005.

Punk began using the song as his WWE theme during 2011’s buzzworthy “Summer of Punk.”

A hit and Grammy-winner upon its release in 1988, the song gained newfound popularity after its inclusion in 2007’s “Guitar Hero III.”
