HBO Cancels Critically-Acclaimed “Enlightened”
By Brian Cantor on March 20, 2013
HBO’s premium model allows it to look beyond ratings in certain situations, but the leniency was apparently not sufficient to save “Enlightened.”
News broke this week that the critically-acclaimed series will not return for a third season.
“It was a very difficult decision,” said HBO. “We’re proud of the show and we look forward to working with Mike White and Laura Dern in the future.”
