“BUCKWILD” Hits Ratings High Mark for Season Finale

Is it “Jersey Shore?” No. Is it a reliable performer that consistently wins the Thursday cable race? Buck yeah.

MTV’s “BUCKWILD” wrapped its first season with three installments Thursday, and all delivered impressive ratings.

The 10PM segment garnered a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 2.57 million viewers, while the 10:30PM portion–which always draws a slightly larger audience–improved to a series high 1.5 rating and 2.71 million viewers.

That 10:30PM episode ranked as the night’s top cable original and second only to a re-run of “The Big Bang Theory” in the overall cable race.

“Bucking Unseen,” the special that aired after the second half hour, posted a 1.4 with 2.55 million viewers.

MTV recently renewed “BUCKWILD” for a second season.
