“Anger Management” Slips to Another Ratings Low

There were compelling business reasons to renew “Anger Management” for ninety episodes, but strong performance for first-run telecasts is certainly not one of them.

The show, which never wowed in its first season and has outright disappointed in its latest, dipped to a new ratings low this week. Thursday’s “Anger Management” averaged a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating with only 986,000 total viewers.

No universe exists in which a show with performances like that can be spun as a hit.

“Archer,” which airs out of “Anger” at 10PM, continues to be the stronger performer, although it was not at its strongest this week either. The acclaimed animated series posted a 0.9 with 1.28 million viewers.
