“The Big Bang Theory” Ratings Hit New Series High

Even though all of the competing networks offered originals this week, none found ratings success at 8PM. Against such paltry competition, CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” rose to a new series high.

Coming on the heels of a strong showing last week, there was even more of a “Big Bang” this week. Thursday’s episode delivered a whopping 6.3 adults 18-49 rating with 19.8 million viewers.

That 6.3 represents the highest rating for a scripted primetime broadcast this season.

Despite the improved lead-in, “Two and a Half Men” actually fell to a still-dominant 4.2 rating and 14.3 million viewers this week. CBS also aired “Person of Interest” (3.3, 15.6 million) and “Elementary” (2.4, 11.3 million).
