One of WWE’s top storylines involves the RAW general manager position. And, tonight, that storyline continues in Charlotte, North Carolina.
If ever there were a time for Ric Flair to seamlessly jump back into the WWE dynamic, it would be tonight.
But as intense as speculation is and as logical as a return might be, there is still no definitive indication that Flair will be appearing on Monday’s RAW broadcast.
F4WOnline.com reports that as of early Monday afternoon, Flair was not written into the script for Monday’s show.
More importantly, there has been no report of movement on WWE’s legal battle with TNA over alleged contract interference. Sources had long maintained that WWE would refrain from signing free agents who were under contract with TNA until the legal issues are resolved, and so unless a deal was suddenly made between the two parties, it would stack the odds against a Flair return.
WWE, nonetheless, has reportedly been very interested in bringing back Ric Flair as a weekly character, and when one combines that desire to sign Flair with the fitting logistics of the situation, it is hard to completely rule out the possibility of an appearance.
