Up against Monday Night Football, game seven of the NLCS and the Presidential Debate, there was no way this week’s edition of WWE RAW was going to deliver a good rating.
It did not.
But given that hefty competition, solace can be found in the fact that it avoided dropping below the adults 18-49 and viewership lows it set for the October 1 edition of RAW.
The three-hour viewership average clocked in at 3.55 million, which slightly edges the 3.50 million average for the dreadful Octobr 1 telecast. Its 1.4 adults 18-49 number decisively topped the October 1 episode’s 1.2 rating.
Viewership for the broadcast peaked with an average of 3.65 million for the 9PM hour; the 8PM hour garnered 3.58 million viewers, while the 10PM hour fell to 3.43 million.
Among adults 18-49, the 8PM portion averaged a 1.3 rating, while the latter two hours both posted 1.4 ratings. Since the competition did not reach its peak until 9PM, RAW’s ability to sustain its young adult audience in those latter hours is admirable.
