Vince McMahon Returns to WWE RAW to Save Ratings

After two consecutive weeks of posting the worst non-holiday ratings since 1997, WWE will not stand idly by. The company confirmed that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will return to the air next week.

McMahon will deliver a “state of the union” address on Monday’s RAW in a clear ploy to attract eyeballs to the show. McMahon’s key segments often draw good numbers, so this should definitely help reverse the trend.

Further helping matters is the fact that the Monday Night Football game is a lower-profile battle this week. Though there are still reasons for millions to tune in, it is unlikely the Houston Texans vs. New York Jets game will draw the way the Chicago Bears-Dallas Cowboys game did this past Monday.
