Eric Stonestreet Claims Another Emmy for “Modern Family”

After losing out to “Modern Family” co-star Ty Burrell last season, Eric Stonestreet is back on the Emmy stage.

Stonestreet beat out Burrell and fellow co-stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ed O’Neill, along with “New Girl” breakout Max Greenfield and “Saturday Night Live” veteran Bill Hader, to claim the night’s first award–that for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a comedy series.

“Modern Family” swept the supporting awards last year–it remains to be seen if the actress winner will be either Sofia Vergara or Julie Bowen from ABC’s acclaimed comedy.
