Before RAW 1000, WWE Already Announcing Brock Lesnar for Summerslam

Brock Lesnar’s response to Triple H’s Summerslam challenge has been hyped as one of the most-anticipated elements of Monday’s “RAW 1000” episode, but WWE is making no attempt to keep the eventual answer a mystery.

According to various correspondents, advertisements for Summerslam have begun running with Lesnar the forefront, all-but-confirming he will wrestle Brock Lesnar on the show.

Granted, there was never really any mystery at all–anyone with a sense of the pro wrestling business knew that the match would never have been teased if it were not going to happen. Still, it does take some suspense out of the Lesnar announcement.

Realistically, it is still possible that WWE could run a swerve of Monday’s show and delay the announcement till next week or the week after, but the end goal seems clear: WWE ultimately will be featuring Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. And insofar as that is going to be a big selling point of the show, the company will likely want to make that match official in storylines sooner rather than later.
