After holding up reasonably well against last week’s Home Run Derby, WWE RAW made gains with young adults and total viewers Monday night.
Undoubtedly fueled by buzz from Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view, along with strong interview and match segments, Monday’s episode improved to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating with 4.9 million viewers.
Hour two, which featured the Daniel Bryan-AJ proposal, the Dolph Ziggler-Chris Jericho confrontation and the main-event segment with John Cena, The Big Show and CM Punk, crossed the key 5 million viewer threshold, delivering an average of 5.04 million watchers over its duration.
Next week’s three-hour show, the 1000th RAW episode which is arguably the most-loaded in history, should deliver a notably stronger rating.
The latter two hours, in particular, are expected to set the yearly high mark for a 9-11:15PM RAW portion.
