Zac Brown Band Album Sales Dominate, Though Frank Ocean Impresses

Red-hot country act Zac Brown Band continues getting hotter; the group is on pace for an impressive number one with third major-label album “Uncaged.”

Based on impressive opening day sales, Hits Daily Double forecasts “Uncaged” will easily claim the number one spot on next week’s Billboard 200 with a sales total in the 210-225,000 range.

If the projection holds, the album’s performance will build comfortably on the 153,000 opening week mark for 2010’s “You Get What You Give.”

Despite that impressive showing for Zac Brown Band, most industry observers have their eyes fixated on Frank Ocean’s “channel ORANGE,” which is set to move a strong 110-125,000 as an iTunes exclusive. Ocean’s profile has exploded within online music and social communities this past year, and the lofty expected total for the surprise digital album launch is a testament to the significance of that buzz.
