Sixers Sign Nick Young, Lou Williams, Elton Brand Headed Elsewhere

ESPN reported Friday that Nick Young, who spent last season with the Wizards and Clippers, will be headed to Philadelphia for 2012-13.

According to the report, Young signed a one-year deal with the Sixers worth about $6 million. Young would join guards Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner in the minutes mix.

As the Sixers welcome Young, the organization will also be saying goodbye to two players. The team will use its amnesty clause on Elton Brand once July 11 rolls around, while unrestricted free agent Lou Williams wrote on Twitter, “Philly, I appreciate you all. Unfortunately I will not be coming back, as an organization they decided to move in a different direction.”
