Ray Allen Chooses to Sign with the Miami Heat

The news came a day later than the Twitter hints from Dwyane Wade and LeBron James suggested, but it is doubtful Miami Heat fans will care: veteran shooting guard Ray Allen has opted to join the reigning champions.

Following a Tweet from owner Micky Arison that all but confirmed the acquisition, Yahoo! Sports contacted sources who made news of the agreement official. Allen, who had been choosing between continuing his relationship with the Boston Celtics and joining the Heat, decided to take his talent to South Beach.

Terms of the deal were not yet available, but it has been well-documented that he would be taking less money to play with Miami.
