Nets Trading Morrow, Farmar, Others for Atlanta’s Joe Johnson

Teams are nearing a final agreement on what has been the most discussed trade possibility since the draft, and the result is that Atlanta Hawks’ veteran All-Star Joe Johnson is headed to Brooklyn.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Johnson and his expensive contract will head to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Johan Petro, Jordan Farmar, Anthony Morrow, Jordan Williams and a protected 2013 first-round pick. Yahoo! Sports adds that DeShawn Stevenson will be swapped to Atlanta as part of a sign-and-trade deal.

Conflicting reports have emerged regarding whether the deal is contingent on the Nets re-signing free agent Deron Williams, but the latest word is that the trade will happen either way.
