Was John Cena’s Promo Really Unscripted?, Rey Mysterio’s WWE Suspension

While there remains some debate about how legitimately angered Brock Lesnar was at the supposed “double cross” in his match with John Cena at WWE Extreme Rules, sources tell the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the post-match promo might have truly been unplanned.

According to the report, the general insistence is that John Cena delivered the unscripted, confusing promo without authorization from WWE officials (a claim he, in fact, made during the promo). Obviously, some assume Vince McMahon indeed knew about it and was simply downplaying his awareness to sell the drama, but he was at least portraying himself as surprised as well.

— F4WOnline says Rey Mysterio, Jr’s second WWE Wellness suspension was due to a failure for amphetamines on February 13. When he recently confirmed to John Laurinaitis that he would be available to return from injury in June, “Ace” told Mysterio that the return would in fact happen in July due to the wellness suspension, which was announced last week.
