Brock Lesnar Makes WWE Return, Details on His New Contract, Plans
As expected, former WWE and UFC Champion Brock Lesnar made his return to the squared circle on Monday’s RAW.
Though most rumors suggest his eventual WrestleMania 29 opponent will be either The Rock, Undertaker or “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, his sights were said on John Cena this week. After returning to a massive ovation from the crowd, Lesnar teased a handshake with Cena and then lifted WWE’s poster boy up for the F5 finisher.
Reports over the weekend indicated that Lesnar had signed a year-long deal that will take him through next year’s ‘Mania in East Rutherford, NJ. His WWE involvement will peak in conjunction with that show, but he is not expected to vanish in the interim. PWInsider notes rumors that his deal calls for a minimum of two appearances each month.
Lesnar, who is considerably lighter and less muscular than when he regularly performed for WWE, did not dwarf Cena Monday night, although he still successfully carried himself like a big time, dangerous animal.
A Lesnar return seemed inevitable after his UFC retirement in December, and with WWE wanting to make waves in the wake of WrestleMania, it has done so with the monstrous wrestler.
