Raja Bell Sidelined After Incident with Coach; Latest Utah Jazz News

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Raja Bell’s unexpected benching Saturday night was the result of an incident with coach Tyrone Corbin.

“A confrontation between Bell and Corbin — who’ve long had an on-off relationship — appears to be at the heart of the situation,” wrote the Tribune on the issue, which was previously reported as a mysterious “internal matter.”

According to the story, Utah Jazz GM Kevin O’Connor wants to have a sitdown with Bell and Corbin prior to the player’s return to the rotation. The good news for Bell fans is that said meeting should happen ahead of Monday’s game, so Bell should theoretically be back in action for the game against the Detroit Pistons.
