FOX Officially Cancels “Terra Nova”

After delivering modest ratings despite more than a year’s worth of hype and a big budget, it seemed a certainty that “Terra Nova” would miss out on a second season order from FOX.

Then, as new Monday series “Alcatraz” started to stumble in the ratings, FOX officially announced that Monday staple “House” would end this season. New Thursday drama “The Finder,” meanwhile, has also failed to deliver much of a bang in the ratings.

Given that, there was at least some hope that “Terra Nova” would earn a second season.

Unfortunately, news came Monday that the hope was for naught–“Terra Nova” will not have another season with FOX.

Though the network is reportedly shopping the series around, given its high price tag, it will presumably have trouble finding any takers.
