WWE Confirms James Roday of “Psych” for Upcoming RAW

“Psych” star James Roday will guest star on the March 12 edition of RAW, WWE.com reported late Wednesday.

Roday, whose character Shawn Spencer uses his keen observational skills to pose as a psychic on the USA Network acclaimed comedy, is a longtime wrestling fan and had been previously scheduled to host a 2010 edition of RAW with “Psych” co-star Dule Hill.

Roday was forced to withdraw due to an emergency appendectomy and will now finally get his chance to perform in front of the live RAW crowd.

The actor also appeared on an episode of “Tough Enough,” emceeing a charisma challenge for the WWE hopefuls.

His upcoming RAW appearance is designed as a plug for the March 14 edition of “Psych,” which features a guest turn by The Miz. John Cena and Mickie James have previously appeared on the show.
