Basketball great Shaquille O’Neal confirmed over the weekend that he will be appearing at WWE’s WrestleMania 28 pay-per-view.
A longtime wrestling fan and ever-popular sports personality, O’Neal had long been eyed for a high-profile WWE pay-per-view match, and reports dating back several months ago said a WrestleMania gig was all-but-finalized.
If Shaq is to be believed, it now is finalized.
The original rumors said that O’Neal would be wrestling Big Show, a natural fit given their size and previous, storyline confrontation from when Shaq hosted an episode of WWE RAW.
O’Neal did not, however, confirm his opponent when speaking about the ‘Mania booking at a Cartoon Network event this weekend.
