WWE’s Vince McMahon Reportedly Sours on Brodus Clay

Regarding Brodus Clay’s sudden disappearance from television, F4WOnline.com reports that Vince McMahon soured on the comedic big man.

Though Clay’s Funkasaurus gimmick was getting over with live crowds, McMahon reportedly felt his in-ring work was not good enough to warrant television exposure. According to the F4W report, McMahon grew particularly disappointed after seeing a Brodus Clay-Heath Slater match that was ultimately pulled from a SmackDown! broadcast.

While no one is calling Brodus Clay the next Daniel Bryan in the ring, many within the industry are surprised at the derailment given how well the crowd seemed to be taking to Clay, a rarity for many new WWE gimmicks.
