WWE RAW Ratings Struggle Despite Shawn Michaels Return

Shawn Michaels’ heavily-hyped return to Monday Night RAW meant nothing for the ratings this week; the show, despite having no football competition with which to deal, did not deliver with viewers.

Monday’s episode averaged a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating, off hours of 1.5 and 1.7. The cable coverage rating was a 3.0, while viewership clocked in at 4.1 million.

Given that WWE is in the middle of its “Road to WrestleMania,” no longer has NFL competition and featured a return appearance from one of its biggest all-time Superstars, this has to be viewed as a terrible number.

The one positive is that the show’s second hour performed better than its first hour, reversing a dangerous trend that had taken over in recent weeks.
