John Cena Claims He’s Not Wrestling at WWE’s TLC PPV

Shocked that John Cena was not part of the announced card for WWE TLC, many fans speculated that the wrestler would be included as part of a late addition to the lineup this weekend.

If Cena is to be believed, that is not the case. The wrestler Tweeted over the weekend that he will be “ordering” the pay-per-view rather than working on it.

He later reiterated the storyline that he “gave [his] PPV chance to someone who deserves it (Zack Ryder).”

It is hard to imagine that WWE will not use its biggest star on Sunday’s show, although if something major were indeed planned, it is equally hard to imagine why Cena, himself, would be completely downplaying the possibility he will be making a meaningful appearance. There is a difference between a surprise (such as Cena saying he will be ringside for the Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler match and then getting attacked by Kane, for example) and bad business, and if Cena is going to make a surprise appearance, this is the latter.

Based on WWE’s promotions and Cena’s Tweets, John Cena fans have no reason to order the show.
