“Fear Factor” Starts Red Hot in the Ratings, Big Win for NBC

NBC has made a lot of questionable scheduling calls in recent years, but reviving “Fear Factor” was not one of them.

The grossout reality competition series premiered to a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating with 8.6 million viewers, easily making for NBC’s best Monday telecast this season. In fact, with that young adults performance, Monday’s “Fear Factor” ranks as NBC’s best non-football telecast in weeks.

Hour one of the premiere scored a 3.2; hour two delivered a 3.5.

The impressive “Fear Factor” numbers did not, however, do anything for ratings-starved “Rock Center,” which was in its usual, awful territory with a 1.1 and 4.0 million viewers.
