WWE’s “It Begins” Designed for Chris Jericho?, Latest Word on Return

Though sources were initially skeptical given reports of a breakdown in negotiations, the word remains that WWE’s creepy “It Begins” campaign is designed to hype the return of Chris Jericho.

PWInsider.com recently clarified that Jericho is indeed still the target of the campaign. F4WOnline.com, which says the videos will soon more clearly hint at the identity of the returning talent, adds that Jericho was long scheduled to return in January, but there was an indication those plans fell through when negotiations hit a hurdle.

As of right now, though, internal sources maintain that Jericho is the subject.

Thus, it would appear that even if WWE and Jericho have not yet come to terms, there is enough confidence that they will reach an agreement to keep the hype videos on schedule for a January 2, 2012 culmination. And, given their vibe, if Jericho really did not end up returning, it would be very easy to claim they were designed to hype the return of someone like The Undertaker.
