Report Confirms Reason for R-Truth’s WWE Suspension

Earlier this week, there was speculation that R-Truth’s WWE wellness suspension might have been driven by the same issue that resulted in Evan Bourne being sidelined.

If so, it would seem a bit unfair and tacky, at least to some observers, that R-Truth was able to remain in the Survivor Series main-event while Bourne had to begin serving his suspension weeks ago.

Those hoping for the best case scenario–that the two issues were completely unrelated–did not get good news yesterday.

F4WOnline.com reports that R-Truth’s drug of failure has been confirmed as a marijuana substitute. Bourne, the report notes, was also suspended for a weed substitute (defined specifically as Spice in his case).

Interestingly, the report says that Truth was informed weeks ago that he failed for the substitute, which prompted a belief that he was not going to be suspended (since, unlike Bourne, he was not immediately pulled from the roster).

The writers, too, did not learn WWE wanted to pull him for 30 days until very recently.
