“American Horror Story” Hits Series High Ratings; “A Legitimate Hit”

“American Horror Story” is the real deal.

Seven episodes in, and the ratings are still impressive. Wednesday’s episode rose to a series high 1.8 adults 18-49 rating with 3.1 million viewers, the highest demo and viewer performance on all of cable.

On the ratings, FX’s John Solberg wrote, “Ep 7 of American Horror Story posts new series highs in A18-49 and A18-34. Five consecutive weeks of growth. It’s a legitimate hit.”

Some critics remain opposed to the show they wrote off as too non-sensical and over-the-top, but viewers seem to be getting more and more hooked by the episode. Online “Horror Story” is starting to resemble that of shows like “Lost” and “Breaking Bad” in terms of fans debating the mythology, forecasting future plot turns and trying to figure out what everything means.
