“Rock Center” Ratings Still Weak, “Gossip Girl,” “Hart of Dixie” Struggle

Cost and logistics make “Rock Center with Brian Williams” a more suitable 10PM Monday option than “The Playboy Club,” but that doesn’t mean NBC shouldn’t be seriously upset about how the newsmagazine is performing.

Week two of the show, which utterly failed to launch on Halloween, was even worse, with the show delivering a mere 1.0 adults 18-49 rating and 3.5 million viewers. “Harry’s Law” was no demo-winner, but it would routinely pull double that viewership in the timeslot–why, then, is NBC letting it die against “The X Factor,” “Criminal Minds” and “Modern Family.”

Over on The CW, the Monday lineup continues to define “bringing up the rear.” Both “Gossip Girl” and “Hart of Dixie” were utterly terrible, with the former, no longer even a source of buzz from tacky entertainment rags, scoring a 0.6 with 1.3 million viewers and the latter, definitely not a successful launch, only good for a 0.6 and 1.4 million, its worst performance to date.
