Maryse Responds to WWE Release, Says She Wanted to Move On

There have been conflicting reports on what triggered Maryse’s WWE release, but the consensus report has been that there were no hard feelings about last week’s severance.

In a statement on the matter, Maryse is claiming that she, herself, made the call to end her run with the leading pro wrestling company.

“After six fantastic years with the WWE, I’ve decided to move on and begin the next chapter of my life. Thank you to all of my fans, colleagues and the WWE Universe,” wrote Maryse on her website. “Living in Los Angeles, I look forward to continuing my career in entertainment and creating new and exciting content!”
