“Chuck” Bombs in the Ratings, “Grimm” Starts Big

NBC certainly made the right decision confirming this will be the final “Chuck” season–the show’s season premiere could only garner a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating with 3.4 million viewers against the World Series Friday night.

Going against game seven was far from an easy task, but the “Chuck” performance looks particularly terrible when one considers how “Grimm” performed at 9PM.

That show’s series premiere posted a 2.1 with 6.5 million viewers to easily become the biggest non-baseball telecast Friday night. Though a 2.1 is far from a “slam dunk” for a new series premiere, such a number has become increasingly difficult to attain on Friday nights. That a new series with limited hype achieved that figure against a widely-viewed World Series game is quite impressive.
