“The Walking Dead” Scores Third Season, “Person of Interest” Sticking Around

It was good news on the television scheduling front this week, with AMC’s smash hit “The Walking Dead” scoring a renewal and two CBS freshmen getting a vote of confidence.

In addition to critical acclaim, AMC’s “Walking Dead” garners ratings that would make broadcast network executives blush. And it should thus come as no surprise that the record-setting “Dead” will live on through at least a third season.

Over on CBS, “Person of Interest” and “Unforgettable” have both scored full season pickups. Neither has been a breakout hit and both could even be described as slight disappointments in their timeslots, but the shows are stable and “on brand” enough to warrant the remainder of the season to find their rhythm.
